As a Family Engagement Specialist responsibilities include- ensuring effective involvement/engagement of families -supporting a partnership among the schools, parents and the community to improve student academic achievement - building families’ capacity for becoming involved/engaged in improving their child’s academic achievement - encouraging families to be actively engaged in their child’s education at school and to be full partners in their child’s education - to explain parental choice and ensure families have information to make well-informed decisions for their children. Goal oriented with strong leadership capabilities holding a Bachelor's degree focused in Social Work from the University of Central Florida, Educational Leadership and Elementary Education K-6, from Nova Southeastern University and a Masters degree in Reading from Grand Canyon University.
