About Tonya Claughton

Tonya Claughton is a Marketing Coordinator. She has a varied background in Marketing, Volunteer Management and Human Resources, which helped her achieve success in non-profits and healthcare industries. Always inspired by business, she excelled in high-school business programs which lead her to receive her Advanced Diplomas and Bachelor of Commerce from Georgian College and Ryerson University, respectively. Through her schooling and experience, she decided in January 2021to take a leap and change her career path to marketing after taking and excelling in a certification course on Digital Marketing at York University and an advanced diploma in Business Marketing.​ Tonya loves to write about topics that interest her like music, books and volunteering and giving back, which helped with her experience in writing and editing for newsletters at Hospice Simcoe. She also enjoys conceptualizing ideas that will help with efficiency and the goals of an organization. Tonya considers herself someone who is always learning and growing, often taking LinkedIn Learning courses to keep up with the latest marketing trends and improve and develop her skills. Tonya is a unique mix of an analytical thinker and creative conceptualizer. As a kid, and up until now, if she wasn’t doodling or imagining books and movies she wanted to write, she is researching and looking up information for her curious mind and to help her in her dream of being a Jeopardy champion.
