About Tonya Moore

I have extensive experience in interpreting and applying legislation in relation to tenement management in both Government and Industry capacities. I also have experience in developing Government policy and legislation. For greater than 30 years I have managed all commodity type exploration tenements from both a Government and Industry perspective. I have a very good working knowledge of the native title processes and requirements of each of the Australian jurisdictions in order to obtain tenure grant and access to land, this includes the expedited procedure, the RTN and the ALRA processes of the NT. For 11 years at RTX I was responsible for land access, tenement management and compliance for all jurisdictions within Australia as well as India, Mongolia, PNG, Laos and more recently China. I implemented a 'best practice' workflow based tenement management system to manage and maintain tenement and agreement compliance for each of the above jurisdictions and specific to each jurisdictions mining laws. I organised and led cultural heritage surveys and stakeholder access negotiations. I am very efficient in developing processes and procedures, workflows and templates to ensure compliance and consistency within an organisation. My experience and expertise has led me to a new, rewarding, and challenging career in software development. I am currently engaged in a long-term contract with PX4 Software Pty Ltd, where I research and map global mining legislation to develop jurisdiction-specific workflows for use by resource companies worldwide. This is now the leading tenement and land management software Globally.
