About Tonya Young

I’m a creative leader and strategic brand designer, passionately focused on growing brands with purpose. For over 20 years, I’ve worked with Nashville’s top design and ad agencies, as both a designer, art director and creative director, helping to launch new brands and rebrands for a wide range of clients in the B2B and B2C sectors. As a solo agent now, I specialize in guiding and designing strong brands that speak clearly, connect emotionally and stand apart visually. While many methods have changed today, the essence of brand design has not. It will always come down to strategy first, creative, design and delivery methods second. Branding is not simply about designing beautiful creative. It’s about understanding the real human beings on the other side of your business model, and then crafting your design to relate to them, connect emotionally to them and help them aspire to what your brand promises. To do this well, today’s creatives need skills that go beyond design and mastery of industry tools. They need empathy, maturity, and the ability to think with both sides of their brain.
