About Torben Svejgaard

After almost 30 years of executive experience in the global B-t-B markets, I have changed career path and work as a board member in relevant companies and conduct also minor consultancy work occassionally. Operational background My operational background for board assignments is 20 years of top management positions with P&L responsibility for more than 1 billion EUR in turnover. I have managed global organisations of up to 3.300 people within all business functions including up to 25 plants in all major regions of the world. My background both encompasses Divisional President/CEO in a people company and Group CEO in a people company. Board background During my last 4-6 years as a Group CEO I held two board memberships and after my change of career path late 2014 a number of new board positions, including chairman roles, have been added. The more than 6 years as a Group CEO with own board has also given me the experience “from the other side of the table”. Specific competences Extensive general management experience plus special value in companies, which fit with one or more of the following characteristics • Working and/or expanding internationally/globally (almost 30 years of experience working with all continents except Africa) • Acquisitions on the strategic agenda (been involved in 10-15 acquisitions and in the evaluation of many more) • R&D an important element (have always had R&D as an important tool in my businesses) • Processing industry (where I have spent my whole career) • Smaller/medium sized companies with a need to professionalise/upgrade the way the business and organisation is managed (where I can contribute with my general management experience combined with my structured and analytical personal profile) Personality Strategic, analytical, fact based, pro-active, team player, building interpersonal relationships, en-gaged, curious, result oriented, devil’s advocate, business acumen, bad at politics.
