About Torbjorn Thomson
I am currently part of the RBC Career Launch Program, which offers a year long rotational program to 100 recent graduates across Canada to experience three different roles within the Bank and a charitable partner. Through my work at the Bank, as well as my education in economic history at Utrecht University, I have been driven by an interest in researching as much qualitative and quantitative data as possible, and using this to solve problems, develop frameworks, and improve processes. From this lens, I have experience researching sanctions compliance, private credit markets in 19th century Amsterdam, and the role of urban governments in port development. I enjoy assessing complex issues and trying to resolve them.I bring international experience, a global mindset, and the ability to effectively manage priorities and thrive in a high pressure environment. I am seeking opportunities to make a meaningful contribution in a principle-led, outcome driven environment.
