About Torrey Sanders

I am a third-year student at the Charleston School of Law, pursuing a career in environmental law. I have experience in this practice area from the perspectives of non-profit institutions and government. My commitment to environmental justice is demonstrated through my founding of a grassroots organization while in school, which raises awareness around environmental justice issues. This initiative has not only deepened my understanding of environmental challenges but also allowed me to contribute actively to the community by engaging in advocacy and educational efforts. In addition to this practical experience, my knowledge of environmental law is furthered through independent coursework, research projects, and professional mentorship opportunities. I am particularly inspired by workplaces that emphasize diversity and have a strong commitment to pro bono, reflecting my belief in the importance of inclusive and impactful legal practice.
