About Toru Ito

My passion is to create new businesses that open up new possibilities for the customers and the company, especially in the area of product marketing and development. I believe that even in difficult and challenging markets there are always some positive opportunities which only can be found through tenacity and effective hypothetical thinking. I see myself to be a deep thinker as well as a quick decision maker in work occasions. One of my biggest joys happens when I can bring solutions for complicated issues through analytical and objective thinking skills, identifying root causes together with opportunities. Throughout my career, I've enjoyed some great opportunities, such as to construct and implement a strategy of reentering a market from which the company retreated once, to develop products with whole new concepts and brands to enhance the portfolio, and to create strategic plans of a new business pillar. Today, I'm a department manager at Ajinomoto do Brasil, one of the most important subsidiaries of Ajinomoto Inc, which is a global leader of Amino acids and food-related products. I’ve been helping my teams in new product development, creation of concepts and brands, product management, digital marketing and so on. I'm a constant learner and seek for opportunities to gain new knowledge. Besides my specialty in the area of marketing, recently I'm into learning about IT-related fields, such as computer networking, IT infrastructure and so forth. I hope I can even cultivate new knowledge and skills in relevant fields so that I can connect them with my existing knowledge to create even new values and outputs that could help the world to be a little bit better. Outside of work, I'm a playful father who enjoys interaction with 2 super energetic kids and a baby. I also love playing golf, cycling and climbing mountains.
