About Torvald Johnson

As a Microsoft MVP and AI Security leader, it has been my honor to be selected by Microsoft to help unveil the world's first Security Copilot agents at RSA Conference 2025 and to lead sessions at premier events including Infosecurity Europe. My journey has been driven by a core desire to architect a new paradigm for Security Operations, enhancing and augmenting the work done by human analysts with the power of automated AI. My focus has been on overhauling SecOps processes by ingraining AI such as Microsoft Security Copilot at their core. At Performanta, I've pioneered novel systems where AI drives investigations based on evidence, evaluates analyst responses to identify missed steps, and performs advanced analysis of user and host behavior to predict and prevent lateral movement. The culmination of this work is a suite of fully autonomous agents that execute these complex operations 24/7. This innovation, which was spotlighted by Microsoft on their official Security Copilot Hub, is my contribution to solving the biggest challenge in cybersecurity: scaling human expertise to meet the threats of tomorrow.
