About Tory Bright

Tory Bright is the Director of SE Regional Mental Health Services Coordination Office for the five SE Counties of Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Philadelphia. Her career in public mental health and human services spans over 40+ years, primarily working with persons and systems whom support individuals who have severe and persistent mental illness. She has worked in inpatient and intensive crisis services, case management, state mental hospital services, justice related systems and most recently works in supporting the service development for County’s community mental health systems. In her role, she has been instrumental in helping to formulate community support plans for countless numbers of individuals who would have otherwise remained institutionalized. As Director, she is the gatekeeper and oversees “regional” specialty programs and beds for the 5 SE Counties. She also manages and facilitates a variety of special projects common to the Counties’ interests, including but not limited to: development of new regional services, forensic reentry from the PA Department of Corrections, long term care service development, data management and analysis of intensive levels of services, and design and management of informational reports for necessary stakeholders. She is also a Nationally Certified Mental Health First Aid instructor since 2010 and instructs Adult, Youth, Higher Education, Older Adult and Public Safety & EMS modules. She is certified by the National GAINS Center as a Trauma trainer, and certified and has experience as a facilitator in Forensic Sequential Intercept Cross Systems mappings for behavioral health and criminal justice systems. She also is certified and trains communities in Suicide Prevention QPR curriculum. She holds a degree from Villanova University in Human Services Administration. She has been involved and a member of NAMI Montgomery County for over 20 years and was on their NAMI Board of Directors from 2012 – 2022. She has held previous positions on the Boards of Laurel House BOD (5 years), the board of Montgomery County Youth Detention Center, and the board of the NOYES Schizophrenia Foundation. She is currently involved and the co-chair of a grassroots advocacy community group, to protect Community Open Space and promote environmental Greenways.
