About Toshiki Yotsuzuka
I am a Professor Emeritus of Finance at Waseda University’s Graduate School of Business and Finance, where I taught courses such as Fixed Income Investments, Asset Allocation, and Hedge Funds until 2023. In the 1990s, I was a Managing Director at Salomon Brothers Inc (now part of Citigroup), working in the areas of Japanese Fixed Income Arbitrage and Japanese Convertible Arbitrage. I also served on the firm's Global Risk Management Committee, and was a member of the Board of Directors of Salomon Swapco Inc, a derivatives subsidiary. Prior to my Salomon career, I was an assistant professor at the Graduate School of Business of the University of Chicago. Since returning to academia in 1997, I held faculty positions at Hosei and Hitotsubashi Universities before moving to Waseda University. I have also served as a corporate director at Simplex Inc and at Simplex Asset Management Ltd (both of which I co-founded). I received my Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. MITPh.D.
