Houston based artist with a focus on fine art & specialty mural projects Artist Statement: My work explores the relationship between critical theory and emotional memories represented through portrait and figurative subject matter. My neo-expressionist style often includes typography, social constructs and cultural issues with influences as diverse as Nietzsche and Bukowski. I am drawn to works that the artist can be seen in, and that is the work I strive to create; work that that leaves remnants of my experience or relationship with each piece. Imperfections make perfection. Lines that don't belong, lines of frustration, and just markings of all kinds create the perfection that I strive for.
