With over 25 years of experience in journalism and strategic communications, I specialize in developing and implementing communication strategies that drive social impact. My expertise spans public relations, marketing, strategic planning, project management, and community engagement, all viewed through an equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) lens. I have a proven track record of effectively engaging diverse audiences, managing social media, crafting compelling content, and navigating complex issues. I have consulted for esteemed international organizations, including the CTA in The Hague and CARICOM in the Caribbean, leading engagement initiatives across culturally diverse communities. My background as an educator, former journalist, and news director has deepened my understanding of organizational dynamics across sectors, enabling me to build strong, collaborative professional relationships. Currently, as a PhD candidate in Sustainability Management, my research explores knowledge mobilization within cross-sector partnerships to create lasting social impact. In alignment with the Municipal Net-Zero Climate Action Partnership (N-ZAP), I collaborate with national sustainability leaders to support Canadian municipalities in achieving net-zero greenhouse gas goals. My work intersects EDI, Knowledge Mobilization, and Sustainability, bridging research and practice to address global challenges and drive meaningful change.
