I te taha o tāku Pāpā, nō Ngāti Mahanga, Ngāti Te Kanawa, Ngāti Koroki/Kahukura, Ngāti Apakura ngā Hapū Ko Tracey Brown Ahau I am an interdisciplinary young Māori woman who has worked in the commercial, educational and Health industries over my years of employment. I have a beautiful whānau who wholeheartedly continues to provide great support which strengthens me to be focused and committed, should an opportunity present itself. My educational background has been brought up through a traditional cultural environment learning and teaching Toi (Māori Arts and Crafts) passing on the knowledge of our tūpuna (ancestors), to uphold, strengthen and integrate, Te Reo Māori, our culture, traditional Māori values, and customs. With this beautiful taonga and knowledge received from my Tūpuna, inherited through 5 generations deep, I proudly possess a traditional Kauwae Moko in respect of my Tūpuna, as a Māori descent and the expertise and legacy handed down. I credit this philosophy to Ihoa (creator of all), ki taku Kuia a Hinekino Winikerei, taku whaea a Betty Brown, me a mātou Tūpuna, whom I have shared openly, wholeheartedly and unconditionally as they also shared and continue to share with whānau, our wider whānau and to the world.
