About Tracey Wignall

Adventurous and protective at heart - a career in policing seemed the natural choice for me. After graduating as the ‘most outstanding recruit’ in 1995, I worked with South Yorkshire Police, became a manager after 5 years, and transferred to the Metropolitan Police Service in 2001. Working in centre of London in response policing, I quickly learned the art of policing and public service in the UK’s highest crime, high risk and most diverse communities. I went on to work in the Intelligence Unit, Neighbourhood Policing, Counter Terrorism Command, and ultimately – Royalty & Specialist Protection in 2016 as Inspector. These combined experiences mean nothing surprises me, I’m prepared for pretty much anything and if someone needs help, I’ll be there. My core skills and areas of strength revolve around: Communication, people and relationships Leadership and decision making Teamwork and supporting/coaching others Organisation and planning Business administration Forward looking, open minded and positive, I enjoy continuous learning and new experiences. Currently studying towards the L3 Award in Education and Training, I am also NEBOSH qualified and have attended numerous training courses throughout my career relating to leadership, problem solving and decision making and specialist policing skills such as surveillance, and firearms. Alongside my policing career I have also been an Airbnb Host since 2016 – enjoying the opportunity to help people have a positive holiday experience and run a small business. My main passions in life are mountain biking and skiing, exploring new places, camping, and the outdoors in any weather. I have been a dry ski slope ski instructor and am a member of the British Association of Snow Sports Instructors - BASI.
