About Traci Goudy

I believe we are all here for a purpose and for me affecting positive change for those who at times seem forgotten in our society has taken center stage: seniors and the caregivers who care for them. I wanted to solve a reoccurring problem I saw for seniors with my unique business model that merges the best of Homecare and a Senior Living Community. My model fills so many gaps in the senior living and healthcare system. I created it from listening to my senior clients and their adult children to design what they wanted plus what I knew they would need in the future based on my 30 years in most every aspect of senior living. There are significant gaps in how care is delivered in America. Although it has improved enormously over the years it’s an industry still in need of much innovation. This isn’t the only solution that is needed but it sure checks a lot of boxes! It was specifically designed to stand alone or be part of a larger continuum in retirement living as well as minimize readmissions in healthcare. My goal is to see it go nationally and help as many seniors and providers possible. It will make the years of hard work and sacrifice worth it to improve the human condition in a more significant way for the giants we are blessed to stand on the shoulders of. Traci has helped open 2 of Greater Lafayette’s Assisted Living Communities, a CCRC as well as 2 home care agencies, all from start up phases prior to opening her own business, Homecare By Design in 2008. Traci has served in leadership roles for 20 years in these various companies in positions from Executive Director, Sales & Marketing Director, Vice President, President, RN, Clinical Director and Founder. Lee Goudy, Traci’s husband, joined Traci at HBD in 2012. Lee adds 15 years of management and quality assurance experience from his work at Eli Lilly.
