About Traci Waite

As an middle school science teacher, I am passionate about social and mental development, learning processes, and cognitive and behavioral advancement in the classroom. I believe in encouraging students to take risks in their learning through thw use of the 4 Cs (critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication)!in order to grow as a life long learners. With proven successes and consistency, I am able to help students fully realize their potential. Facilitating department meetings, being a liaison for the district and my department, support to new science teachers- Member and participant of the Middle School Assessment Cadre starting in January 2014- Team Leader multiple times at both Pine Grove Elementary and Cimarron Middle School; helping to ensure team unity, standardization, and success- Active member and advocate of the Digital Mentor Program since 2009; engaging in district mandated technology mentoring among peers- Governance Council Grade Level Representative since July 2010. Aiding in solving school issues and assisting administration with decision making processes to benefit both school and students- Served as a member of the District Writing Committee during 2010 as a school representative, helping to outline new vertical writing initiatives and goals- Previous SAC representative on the parent, community, and teacher committees.
