Work with teachers to refine professional development, plan and provide coaching of professional development to teachers and administrators in the organization on differentiating instruction for students on multiple levels. Develop and deliver training through professional development for the organization on changes in standards of: enhanced guidelines in transition to post-secondary settings, new guidelines of set standards of graduation requirements, develop stronger collaborative teams to promote student success, develop guidance for developing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) goals for special education teachers to utilize, provide guidance to special education teachers on IEP writing, regulations, and appropriate accommodations for students. Plan and assist students in transitions of their needs and goals beyond high school, assist with transition planning to institutions of higher learning, trade schools, and local community colleges. Work in a collaborative setting to provide instruction to students and plan with collaborative teaching partners to develop engaging curriculum to enhance learning and learning retention. Initiate, collaborate, and create innovative ideas and practices for online learning and distance learning during recent Covid-19 school shutdown and moving forward as we transition back to school. Develop academic course plans that map out students’ courses throughout high school. Establish and adapt relevant course work to assist students in building comprehension based upon learning standards. Analyze goal progress and monitoring to determine if students are showing growth or failing to meet appropriate goals and determine if effective goal monitoring is being practiced. Present the analysis by identifying any and all issues along with recommended solutions and courses of action. Research and utilize evidence-based interventions to address students’ needs and ability levels in regards to academic course work. Monitor IEP student goal progress and assist students and parents with questions or problems and guide them through the IEP process. Mentor and develop new teachers, student teachers, and practicum students and provide them with guidance to help develop strong teachers with effective behavioral management skills, in teaching content and presenting information in both small groups and large groups. Hold and navigate matriculation meetings for students transitioning to high school, inform students of new SOL requirements, differences between diploma type and standards, and update coworkers on new work place readiness.
