I am currently enrolled at WHC, working towards my AHS in Health Science, although this is what I'm working on at this time, I have over the years been back to this same college to update my education and skills, where I took Business Administration and Computer Information Courses. I started working at the age of 15 y/o at the Coalinga District Hospital while attending Coalinga High School full time. I was lucky to have worked in every department from Admitting, Data Processing, Medical Records, Insurance, and Medi-Cal Billing, Accounts Receivable, Nursing Dept./D.O.N. Assistant. Responsible for typing the E.R. Dr.'s 1st Report of Occupational Injury/Illness, for Workmans Compensation patient services, I have worked for Radiology Nuclear Medical Grp. in Bakersfield, CA. Where I was the Billing Clerk for the Radiologist, Dr. Birsner, out of Lancasters' Antelope Valley Hospital. There I was also in charge of running all of the patient statements and mailing them. This is where I became professionally proficient with the running and using of just about every piece of Pitney Bowes office equipment/machines they had at that time, from their normal office printer to their statement printing, folding, envelope stuffing machines, to then running that through their postage meter. I hand sorted that mail (as there was no sorting machine at that time), by zip code, and took it all ready to go out, to the post office. I have been a Waitress and Bartender, where I handled 100's to of dollars in cash and credit card invoices, balanced nightly reports, ordered and stocked supplies. Constantly tending to the needs of our customers while following laws and regulations implemented by the State of California and the policy and procedures of my employers.
