About Tracy Carroll

Tracy has worked as a director, dramaturg, teacher, programmer and producer for 25+ years. She has been the Co-Artistic Director at Concrete Theatre, the Artistic Associate- North for Alberta Playwrights’ Network, and Artistic Associate at the Citadel Theatre where she co-created and directed KidsPlay @ the Citadel. Tracy is the co-creator and coordinator of Peep Show, a tease of new plays, which started during the inaugural SkirtsAfire Festival in 2013. Since then she has helped with the development of 33 new plays written by Edmonton women playwrights. She is also the co-producer of EDMONten, a showcase of ten minute plays and a freelance dramaturg for hire. Directing credits include The Space Between Stars by Christine Lesiak at SkirtsAfire, Fresh Hell by Conni Massing at Shadow Theatre, Last Chance Leduc by Katherine Koller, The Book of Ashes by Emil Sher for the Northern Alberta Children’s Festival and Matara and The Invention of Romance by Conni Massing at Workshop West Playwrights’ Theatre.*Tracy is also a certified yoga instructor and has been teaching Hatha, Ashtanga and Flow classes since 2013 for corporate and non-profit groups as well as at Yoga Within in Edmonton.
