About Tracy Elder

I started in football like most, Pop Warner, Jr High, High School, College and some,very little, short time in the NFL. My career as a football player to me was a disappointment only that I did not complete my goal of retiring from the NFL. My only shot was short lived by the strike and injuries. many injuries, and after taking some time to find my rule in life and in football, I return to Coach. I guess you can say football is my life, and I would not disagree, but it is much more. I'm still a student of the game in many ways, I remember my coach telling me,"Elder, you will never stop learning this game." Brownfield never called me by my first name, all four years he coached me. Never the less, different times same game. My coaching philosophy is helping the player understand his role on the football team and in life with a focus on higher learning. I seek to motivated players to desire to get better as a person on and off the field with team and community activities. Focus an study to be a better Man as well as football player, through education of the game and knowledge of self and to Practice the game with the knowledge gained, both in football and in life. We can only learn and get better from our mistakes, this is what makes a better football player and ever more a better Men.
