About Tracy George

Mrs. Tracy Pilgrim-George is the College Advancement Officer at Sir Arthur Lewis Community College (SALCC), with over 25 years of teaching experience. She holds a Bachelor's in Spanish from Wellesley College, a Master’s in Spanish Language and Culture from Middlebury College, and a Certificate in Project Management, along with several certifications in Online Teaching and Learning. Throughout her career, Mrs. Pilgrim-George has served in various roles, including Spanish lecturer, Subject Lead for Languages, Head of Humanities, and Assistant Chief Examiner for Spanish CXC exams. As the College Advancement Officer, she focuses on building and strengthening partnerships with key stakeholders to support the College’s growth and development. For the past two years, Mrs. Pilgrim-George has chaired the Nobel Laureate Activities at SALCC, successfully organizing events for both the College and the wider Saint Lucian community. Additionally, she is an active member of the Executive Board of the Rotary Club of Gros Islet, where she serves as Director of Public Image. A co-author of the Macmillan Dime Series: Spanish for Caribbean Secondary Schools Teacher’s Guide, Mrs. Pilgrim-George has made a significant contribution to language education. She is also an external examiner for the UWI Teacher Education program, a motivational speaker at workshops, and a moderator for academic panels at SALCC. Beyond academia, Mrs. Pilgrim-George has hosted numerous events for the Government of Saint Lucia, Events Saint Lucia, the Cultural Development Foundation, and several regional organizations. She is deeply committed to empowering students, fostering community connections, and creating lasting change in both education and society. With a strong belief in the importance of giving back, she strives to inspire those around her to make meaningful contributions that leave a lasting impact for future generations.
