I’m excited to step into the role of Community Branch and Marketing Strategist at HMECU, where my focus is on building meaningful connections—both with our local community and our valued partners. From deepening existing relationships to creating new opportunities for engagement, I’m committed to helping HMECU grow in ways that reflect the heart of the communities we serve. As a proud 5th-generation Black Canadian, I’m passionate about educating others on the often-overlooked stories of my ancestors and their journey to Canada through the Underground Railroad. Through public speaking, I bring these powerful histories to life — not just to inform, but to inspire. One of my most impactful offerings is “And Then What Happened…” — an interactive presentation designed to spark conversation, build awareness, and bring communities together through shared learning and reflection. Because when we understand the past, we’re better equipped to shape a stronger, more inclusive future.
