About Tracy Johnston

I am the owner of a private practice that offers an umbrella of mental health services. As a collaboratively trained mental health neutral facilitator, I offer alternative conflict resolution services to the community in the form of family mediation, social investigations, and parenting coordination. The goal of this practice is provide education, training, and mental health services focusing on the reduction of conflict, and mitigation of the potential negative effects on families of long-term exposure to conflict. I wrote and teach “The Next Level,” a nine (9) hour a high conflict co-parenting class designed to teach more effective communication and conflict management skills to parents who struggle to co-parent cooperatively post dissolution. We also offer traditional psychotherapy and coaching for children, adolescents, adults, and families. Our services include marriage/couples coaching, individual psychotherapy or coaching, play therapy, parent/child psychotherapy or coaching, social skills training for children and adolescents, and parenting support groups in a private practice setting. We have partnered with the Clay County Teen Court to offer leadership training and education to the adolescents and their parents participating in this juvenile offender diversion program. I wrote and teach “Pathways to Success,” a six (6) week teen leadership course designed to give adolescents and their parents more effective communication and life skills. Additionally, we facilitate the “Peer Circle” portion of the deferred sentencing, which focuses on improving the positive mental health and subjective well being of the adolescents by teaching impulse control, anger management, appropriate coping mechanisms, and life skills.
