About Tracy K. Short

I am an experienced and successful health care leader with experience in physician practice and outpatient service administration, and more recently, managed care quality improvement. With a positive and energetic approach, I have a proven ability obtaining operational and patient quality improvement results through thoughtful assessment and assertive actions. Very collaborative in my approach, I believe in the principle of leading through partnering with providers, administrative and clinical leaders, and front-line team members. This approach can bring about sustainable change leading to financial and improved patient quality outcomes success. The health care roles I have served include Vice-President, Regional Director, Administrator, Director of Strategic Planning, Manager of Operations, and Patient Centered Care Consultant. I have also served for twelve years as adjunct faculty at Cardinal Stritch University's College of Business Management. My track record includes the successful start-up and operations of programs/services and businesses; strategic planning and market growth and development; improving operations metrics; increasing employee engagement; achieving loyalty in customer and patient groups; improving quality; and attention to detailed budgeting and financial management. Giving back to my community is very important to me and I accomplish this through leadership roles serving the National Ski Patrol and demonstrated by my past involvement on local community boards, such as the Transitional Living Center (homeless shelter), the Burlington Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Racine Community Foundation. Being active and healthy is also key to my well-being. Above all, my family is valued most.
