About Tracy Means

A native of Flint Michigan, I started my professional career in Banking & Finance. I found a unique opportunity to be a founding member of the leadership team that started the first Islamic banking subsidiary in the United States. I served as Vice President of Sales and Operations for almost 10 years before transitioning to healthcare. Having been introduced to the healthcare system through a personal experience I found that caring for others when they are at their most vulnerable is my true passion. I started my healthcare career at the Detroit Medical Center, moving to the west side of Michigan to Bronson, and then back to SE Michigan with Henry Ford Health Center. Currently, I am the Regional Director of Operations - North Market Henry Ford Health System. I served as the National Secretary for the National Association of Health Services Executives, a mentor with The Women of Tomorrow Mentorship & Scholarship Program, an Executive Board Member for the YMCA, and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. As an active member of the community, I am an American Sign Language Interpreter for Triumph Church, I volunteer with the National Kidney Foundation, and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. As a leader in healthcare, I truly believe this is one of the best careers you can have. I have the opportunity to not only touch the lives of those that I work with, but I am able to change the lives of the people who come seeking help which extends to their families and communities. I am a lover of people and I feel my happiest when I am helping others. My long term professional goal is to be in a position where I have influence and the ability to impact lives and make sustainable changes that will ultimately support better health and outcomes for the greater population.
