Teaching in the IB has been a wonderful journey for me and I have been able to wholeheartedly explore my role as a facilitator and mentor, while growing professionally at a steady pace. I believe that all learning should take place through hands on experience, collaborative and differentiated activities while keeping in mind a child’s unique learning styles. I strive towards fostering open minded, independent and balanced learners. Having completed a number of engaging workshops to strengthen my teaching methodologies I do believe that I have found my professional commitment. I have also had some opportunities to showcase meaningful classroom learning through a variety of creative teaching strategies, while focusing on English Language and Literature. I have had the most thrilling experience initiating a Literacy Club for all MYP students as well as organising the Annual MYP & DP Literacy week at EIS. I do believe that professional growth is mirrored in sharing resources and working collaboratively.
