Experienced Recreation Therapist with a demonstrated history of working with a variety of populations, from inpatients to community, with the awareness that many approaches are not one size fits all. Professional and creative in development and facilitation of therapeutic interventions; supported by continuing education and research for best practices that match context of clients. Able to build trusting partnerships and advocate for client’s needs within systems and the community to decrease gaps for client success. Operating in a variety of environments, I have accumulated experience in Acute Care Pediatrics, Mental Health, Eating Disorders, Health Promotion & Prevention, Community care, Geriatric care in a secured dementia unit, Continuing Care, Palliative care, Grief support, and Self-management of Chronic Conditions. This exposure to various populations across the lifespan allows me to offer valuable leadership in a variety diverse intervention.
