About Tracy Zhou

My teaching experience has provided me with the opportunity to further develop my communication and organisational skills. Teaching a diverse multi-cultural student cohort, many from non English speaking backgrounds, has enabled me to enhance my own communication skills. With the support of my colleagues, I have been able to develop a range of teaching strategies so that my students are able to understand the material being presented to them in a way as to ensure that effective learning takes place. I have found that many of my students lack the academic and organisational study skills required to succeed in an undergraduate program, and with the support of my colleagues, I have developed a range of study skills strategies that have assisted many of them to cope with the rigours of academic life in the Australian tertiary education. Working with my colleagues, I have been able to not only provide the technical knowledge and skills required for my students to succeed, but as their mentor to assist them in organising and developing their study programs so that they are able to meet their learning and assessment objectives.
