About Trae Bergh

I am a humble, passionate healthcare leader. I began my career as a Physician Assistant, where I gained valuable hands- on experience in patient care. This clinical background has provided me with a deep understanding of healthcare processes, patient needs, and the importance of collaboration and teamwork. After several years of clinical practice, I felt a strong calling to transition into healthcare administration, where I could leverage my clinical insights to improve operational efficiencies and foster better relationship amongst administration, physicians, APPs, and other staff. Currently, I serve as the Vice President of Clinics at Avera St. Luke's in Aberdeen, SD, where I oversee clinical operations and provider relations. I am humbled to be apart of the amazing health ministry at Avera St. Luke's and am driven and inspired by the key values of compassion, hospitality and stewardship. I strive for our health ministry to deliver high quality care in a patient-centered environment. Prior to joining Avera, I gained experience at a physician-owned multi-specialty clinic, where I honed my leadership skills and developed a solid understanding of healthcare administration. I take pride in being a good teammate, competitive, and humble leader. I believe in the two E's: energy and engagement. I believe with these two E's, amazing changes can happen. My background as a former college basketball player has instilled in me a drive for excellence, discipline, and teamwork - all of which I apply to my professional leadership style. When I'm not working, you'll likely find me on the golf course, coaching basketball, or playing sports with my children. I am committed to making a positive impact in healthcare administration and the community my family is in!
