About Tran-Vu Nong

A lot of engineers are interested about WHAT to design. However, for me, I’m most interested in the question of HOW to design. With experience in both theoretical academic research and practical industry experience, I bring new perspectives to the table for tackling the problems of tomorrow's aircraft maintenance industry. I have hands-on experience working with airlines and other players in the aerospace maintenance and operations industry through positions in major aircraft OEMs like Bombardier and Airbus. Performing research at leading aerospace engineering higher education institutions like ISAE-SUPAERO and Carleton University set the foundation for a strong theoretical base in many domains of aircraft design. At the same time, entrepreneurial endeavours outside of the aerospace field provided me valuable insight into the business side of engineering. Outside of work, I enjoy performing music for both piano and bass. As a Canadian expat in France, I enjoy exploring my new surroundings in my spare time.
