Since my retirement from the BC Wildfire Service in the fall of 2019, I've been working with local governments and First Nations communities to build resiliency to wildfire and other emergencies. With a self-proclaimed Masters Degree in Diplomacy, Tact and Professionalism, I've spent the better part of my working life enhancing my skills in the realm of incident command, emergency management and leadership. Nearly thirty years in the world of wildfire and emergency management has provided me with not only the skills to work effectively in high-stress situations, but also the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse mix of characters and egos while becoming a more efficient planner.
