About Travis Barrette

As the Area QA/QC Manager at UES, I have over a decade of experience in leading and managing construction materials testing and inspection projects for various sectors, including K-12, transportation, municipal, commercial, multi-family, and industrial. I hold NICET Level IV certifications in soil, concrete, and asphalt, and I am responsible for overseeing the day-to-day laboratory and field operations and training of multiple project managers and 100+ laboratory and field technicians. In addition to managing project budgets, schedules, and deliverables, I also ensure the quality and compliance of our laboratory services, which include training laboratory supervisors and technicians, reviewing laboratory reports, managing laboratory projects, and handling equipment and material procurement needs. I have created and implemented the Quality System and Procedures, handled our office's accreditation needs, reviewed and updated test procedures, conducted audits of field and laboratory personnel, and coordinated CCRL/AMRL proficiency testing. I am passionate about providing high-quality and reliable testing and inspection services to our clients, and I am always looking for opportunities to improve our processes and standards.
