Travis Andrew Brooks, MBA, MPA Mr. Travis A. Brooks is a Sr. Financial Analyst with the Gateway Foundation who has experience in political and fund-raising consulting and at the grass roots level working for the Association for Community Reform Now (ACORN) to bring much needed change to distressed neighborhoods in the city of Chicago as well as campaign experience working as the city wide petition coordinator, volunteer outreach coordinator and office manager of one of the premier mayoral campaigns in the 2011 citywide election. In addition, Mr. Brooks has experience in management and finance, working in the healthcare field for seven years. Prior to his desire to return to healthcare, Mr. Brooks served as an account executive/fund-raiser and political consultant with Compass Public Affairs where he raised a quarter of a million dollars for all clients and managed client accounts. Mr. Brooks also served as Finance Manager/Analyst for Abdominal Transplant at Rush Medical Center, where he was responsible for budgeting, analysis and overall financial management, responsible for the collection of in backlogged research revenue, creation of policies and procedures to support the re-organization and revenue enhancement to the Medicare Cost Report and the management and oversight of 8 hospital and medical practice cost centers. His experience also includes strategy development, process improvement, advising and counseling on productivity measures, process, policy creation, data management and mentorship services.
