About Travis Carter

As Project Superintendent with The Christman Company I have managed projects ranging from as the lead Superintendent. Clients include Novant Health (5 separate acute care facilities), AHWFBHPRH (High Point Hospital), Lab Corp, Elon University, City of Greensboro, UNC School System, Auto Owners Insurance, and Old Dominion Freight Lines on projects ranging from renovations and expansions to large-scale, green-field new construction. I have become a licensed Professional Engineer with state of North Carolina as of August 2021. On the job, I lead construction operations by generating, implementing and adhering to the Master Schedule and 4-week Look-Ahead Schedules. Regularly I assist in pursuits by generating schedules and site logistics plans. I manage quality control by generating Deficiency Lists for all subs involved with the project. Running the subcontractor coordination meeting is a weekly task and so is attending the OAC meetings. I have learned that it is paramount to approach every problem with a solution driven attitude. Conflicts with drawings and schedule and other factors are to be assumed, but finding solutions to these problems is what helps keep a project on time and on budget. I have never lead a project where the owner didn't receive the facility at the pre-determined, agreed upon date. Subcontractors, colleagues, superiors and owners have called me a "pusher," as I help ensure everyone is working the right tasks at the right time with the right manpower.
