About Travis Elmore

I am recent graduate from North Carolina State University where I studied Materials Science and Engineering. I decided to go into this field as materials science provides a unique blend of chemistry, mathematics, and problem solving, all of which I am good at and enjoy doing. In the course of my studies, I gained practical engineering experience through a senior design project which involved suggesting and testing chemistry changes to a Nickel-base alloy to improve its properties. In addition to my studies, I have also gained relevant engineering experience in my role as a laboratory assistant at North Carolina State University's Nanofabrication Facility (NNF). In this role, I operated, calibrated, and maintained nanofabrication equipment, including chemical vapor deposition equipment, lithography equipment, and metrology tools.
