Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with 24 years of experience in progressively senior roles in risk management, internal control, compliance, external audit and financial & assurance transformation projects with extensive international experience, including working in emerging markets. Working as the Director Financial Reporting, Internal Control & Risk Management Projects a.i. at the Group Head Quarters of VEON in the Netherlands. Finance lead for strategic transactions and reorganizations including preparation for a planned deSPAC transaction, including the pre-transaction reorganisation (Dutch legal demerger). Prior experience includes 8 years in external audit / assurance roles within Big 4 in Canada (KPMG) and Belgium (PwC) auditing clients reporting in US GAAP and IFRS and 7 years working in Internal Control over Financial Reporting, Enterprise Risk Management and policy governance in the express delivery industry (TNT Express).
