Thank you for visiting my page.CEO award winner 2016 at Sovereign/AIA. Nominated for presenting our claim service to 300+ intermediaries over 30 different dates in various locations. Passionate about insurance, claims, continuous improvement and leading highly engaged staff in high performing teams. 17 years at Sovereign (now AIA)- part of the wider ASB/Commonwealth Bank groups and now apart of the wider AIA business. Having worked in rehabilitation of ill/injured (ACC) clients for many years, working alongside the very best medical professionals ensuring safe, sustainable and successful outcomes are reached for all parties as a Senior Case Manager. I moved from Senior Case Management to Team Leader for 2 years, seconded after this for a period of time into the Strategy team, gaining an insight into the wider business through research and reporting to an executive level.After this secondment I accepted the role of Disability Income Claims Manager. Leading 10 staff in the claims team at Sovereign and set about improving the claim process to be industry leading. After successfully leading a team through change an opportunity arose to move into underwriting. I then managed 17 staff members at various office locations. Moving into my current role overseeing a department ~80 as Head of Claims. As a leader I believe in setting a vision that achieves empowerment and continuous improvement in a purposeful work environment. I am a strong and confident presenter.Lucky enough to have learnt from some of the best in the industry.(ACC, medical providers, financial providers)Completed various courses and education, including- Leadership by Design 2014- Various coaching courses- Professional Sports Coaching- Productivity courses- Various case management courses - AIA CEO thinktank 2020Nominated for employee of the quarter in 2011/12 at Sovereign. Previous to Insurance I worked at Kings College Hospital in London after working at North Shore Hospital through my earlier working years in various roles from clinical coding/records/theatre scheduling.
