About Travis Irvine

I am a Mechanical Engineer (P.Eng), and certified Project Manager (PMP) working in the Fleet and Manufacturing Services Department at the City of Vancouver. As a Senior Mechanical Fleet Engineer I am responsible for managing the Small Equipment & Rentals Procurement Team, providing project and fleet management, as well as developing sustainable strategies for the City of Vancouver to reach its goal of being powered by 100% renewable energy by 2050. I graduated from the University of Manitoba in December 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, and received my Professional Engineer designation in Spring 2021. I received my Project Management Professional designation in 2023 from the PMI Institute. My professional goal as an Engineer is to make a sustainable difference in the Mechanical Engineering Industry and continuously learn and develop my professional and interpersonal skills for a successful career. I enjoy new opportunities and challenges, I am a self motivated hardworking person, I have strong communication skills, and I am a quick learner. Professionally I have a strong interest in renewable energy, sustainability and the automotive industry. Away from the office I enjoy an active, and social lifestyle by playing recreational sports, road biking, skiing, exploring local spots, and cheering on my hometown Winnipeg Jets and Blue Bombers.
