I am a 2022 Cum Laude graduate from Western Michigan University with a degree in Digital Media and Journalism. I have a minor in Psychology and three years of college Spanish experience. My skills primarily reside in the fields of media/public relations and baseball communications. I have a lifelong passion for the sport and have chased a career in professional baseball since adolescence. I served as Media Relations Assistant for the El Paso Chihuahuas in the 2023 season. Working under broadcaster Tim Hagerty, my main responsibilities were creating game notes, updating rosters, managing the press box and coordinating interviews with media. A crucial responsibility to my role was being dual employed with Major League Baseball as a Junior Data Operator. For over 60 home games I controlled the MiLB Gamecast program. This position has greatly expanded my baseball knowledge by archiving official MLB data in real time. In my senior year at WMU I served as the Sports Editor of the Western Herald, the school newspaper. Throughout my time with the Herald I developed writing, interviewing and broadcasting skills in six different sports through WMU Athletics. I was also a contributor at Glass Half Fulmer, a blog dedicated to covering the Detroit Tigers. Summer 2022 I was the Director of Marketing and PR for the Upper Valley Nighthawks of the NECBL. This opportunity grew my experience in sports exponentially as I developed skills in broadcast production, photography, videography, social media promotion, live baseball coverage and so much more.
