About Travis Rice

I grew up on a cattle farm in Elbert County Georgia where my family owned and operated a small construction company with a focus on building, repairing and restoring homes. We later moved to the Augusta area where I continued to work for my father in construction. I later found a mentor from church that spent several years teaching me commercial maintenance and refrigeration. After marrying, my wife and I bought and restored our first home that was over 100 years old. I have three adult children and a wife of 27 years. I have tested a few career paths, but customer service and problem solving through product sourcing seem to be my forte. Retail management has greatly contributed to my leadership skills as well as communication and time management proficiencies. My current position allows me to serve over 120 accounts that range from small private fabrication shops to the second largest municipality in Georgia. I frequently assist with development of bids and contracts with several departments within Augusta- Richmond County. While at DIllon Supply, I have proudly began sourcing for the boards of education of six counties as well as developing and managing fund-raising for the support of the Skills Challenge and Georgia Workforce programs ( A high school trades growth program)
