I've been teaching English to all ages and levels for 20 years and teacher training for 15. As L&D Lead at the British Council Prague, I am responsible for all elements of CPD for teachers, including designing and implementing our internal training programme (insett) based on needs analysis and teaching centre business needs, leading and guiding teachers on our mentoring programme, and helping teachers develop their own action research plans. More recently the insett programme has been for teachers not just in the Czech Republic, but across our Central European cluster (including Slovakia and Hungary). I have also trained teachers in Georgia. As ICT Coordinator, I am responsible for ensuring that teachers are trained in effective integration of learning technologies in their classrooms. The main training focus used to be primarily the use of interactive whiteboards, but more recently includes Online Learning (Zoom) and other technologies such as activpanels, and integrating websites. I line manage teachers and am responsible for their continuing professional development, and am part of the academic management team that oversees the running of the operation in Prague (and more recently the cluster countries). I have experience with- materials writing (a British Council product for adult students called MyClass)- producing a full teaching timetable for our centre based on registrations and teacher availability - providing IT and troubleshooting support for hardware, software and other online platforms (Zoom, British Council Learning Hub) I am a Cambridge Oral Examiner for Cambridge First (FCE), Cambridge Advanced (CAE) and children's exams (YLEs). I am a fire officer in our centre and a first aider.
