About Travis Varcoe

My name is Travis Varcoe and I’ve been privileged to be an AFL Footballer, sharing success with both the Geelong and Collingwood Football Clubs. I moved into the coaching space and enjoyed 3 years with the Western Bulldogs as a development coach. I am now passionate about working with our youth and have experience working with children who are within the youth justice system, those that are at risk of entering the youth justice system and children who have disengaged with their schooling. I feel fortunate to have had these experiences, and in combination with my heritage, family and mates, will draw on them as my family and I enter the next phase of life. I have gained a solid foundation of trust, empathy and mindset to achieve. These skills have helped me through the great times and dark times in my life. Now in retirement, I’m excited to start sharing the knowledge and learnings I’ve gained, to empower others. In particular, I’m passionate about working in the areas of youth development/mentoring and wellbeing.
