About Travis Whigham

Hello, I am Travis Whigham and I am located in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. I currently work in Bellmawr, NJ as the Project Director for Airgas an Air Liquide Company. Since I have started working with Airgas, I have had the pleasure of working in a few different roles. My last role as Plant Manager of the Cherry Hill, NJ plant saw me run the locations daily activties, lead a large team, and make critical decisions on a daily basis. Before that, I had a role as the Assistant Plant Manager consists of managing daily operations and being the head manager of the Lab operations. My previous role of Flammable Operations Manager had expanded and evolved beyond its original scope. On top of managing daily operations of all flammable gas, I ensured the new technologies and facility upgrades were being incorporated into the existing facility to ensure a bright future for the plant and our customers. Previously I was employed as an outbound supervisor at the QVC Suffolk DC. When I was with QVC I had the opportunity to lead large groups of team members in multiple departments. I had also floor led a project of installing the first voice pick system in the company's network. When I worked with the company, it vastly increased my abilities as a manager and taught me what it takes to lead large teams successfully and on a daily basis. Before taking on a supervisory role with QVC, I was apart of the 3M corporations E-A-R Aearo Technologies LLC for over three years as a chemical engineer/operator. With the company I was presented the chance to fully learn the chemical engineering lifestyle first hand, and embraced the opportunity to expand my engineering understandings and leadership. You see, to me engineering is really the ability to; given a situation, and using individual understanding of mechanics and outside thinking, come up with a capable and working solution that is useful to all. It's that kind flexibility and adaptability that I can bring that makes a good worker rise to the occasion. Looking to the future, I hope to use my ever growing skill sets towards a job that I can enjoy and provide to that employer a valuable asset.
