About Treena Guy

I am very detailed-oriented and driven by results. My co-workers used to poke fun at me because I was particular about keeping records of any official communication, usually accompanied with the date and time the event or meeting took place. This stemed from my personal values of being very organized and strategic in my approach to problem solving. I believe in order, and it has helped me advance in life and in my career. I’m extremely curious. I like to learn for the sake of learning. If I want to do something I’m going to research it until I have the best idea of how to proceed. I value integrity. I am adamant about doing the right thing simply because it’s the right thing to do. As a result, I’ve built very strong and trusting relationships along the way, which is a necessary quality since my profession requires protection of personal and financial information. My most significant professional accomplishment was earning my Executive MBA from the University of Detroit Mercy. It was such hard work and it was a huge adjustment. At times I thought I would fold under the pressure. Due to the fact that I completed the program and persevered in the face of adversity means that I can overcome any obstacle placed in my way. It’s also significant because I’m one of the biggest advocates for education you’ll know. I’ve always stressed the importance of education to my sons and they have since graduated from college and are working professionals. I felt a strong desire to demonstrate this commitment in my personal life, no matter how long it took. Now that I have come out of retirement, my short-term goal is to give as much energy, dedication, and expertise to managing all financial aspects of schools. As long as I’m able to do so, I will continue to provide the professional skills that I've acquired over the years.
