About Trent Blanchette
Trent’s practice focuses primarily on tax litigation and tax dispute resolution. Prior to joining Felesky Flynn, he clerked for the judges of the Tax Court of Canada in Ottawa and articled at a national law firm in Vancouver. Trent holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Calgary, a Master of Public Administration from Queen’s University, and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in History from the University of Guelph. In law school, Trent won both the Chief Justice William McGillivray Mooting Shield and the Blackstone Debating Medal. He served as an editor of the Alberta Law Review, founded the Calgary chapter of the Runnymede Society, and volunteered with the Tax Court Assistance Project. Trent has coached the University of Calgary Faculty of Law’s Donald G.H. Bowman National Tax Moot team since 2019.
