About Trent Monaghan

After completing my college training I was offered an apprentice position with Calm Air in Thompson, MB. Calm Air provided a great facility, a team oriented atmosphere and experienced mentors to learn from. Once my apprenticeship and Transport Canada requirements were satisfied I received my M1/M2 rated Aircraft Maintenance Engineer license and later two endorsements, Hawker 748 and Saab 340. Returning home to raise my family, Atlantic Turbines provided me my next opportunity. It was a bit of an adjustment from performing maintenance on aircraft to working primarily on engines. Atlantic Turbines has seen a couple of ownership changes over the years, changing to Vector Aerospace and now currently Standard Aero. As an engine technician I’ve had many work opportunities such as; the mainline engine disassembly area, detail inspection, repair line, borescope inspection, and the Customer Service departments.
