As an IT professional at Symetra, I’m passionate about delivering practical, effective solutions that make a real difference. It’s my privilege to manage analysts on 2 dedicated teams and personally oversee 40+ applications that support the evolving needs of Symetra Investment Management (SIM), who steward 78.9 billion dollars as of December 2024. One dept. we focus on is our SIM Real Estate Investment (REI) team who reached the monumental milestone of $10 billion in loans as of September 2024 My colleagues often describe me as driven, resourceful, and always up for a challenge. I’m known for maintaining a positive, proactive attitude, even when things get tough. I believe in leading by example, staying true to my values, and doing the right thing—which is the best way to inspire others to do the same. In my role, I foster growth within my team, offering transparent, patient leadership—while continuously honing my expertise in systems, applications and technical support. Whether it’s managing complex system integrations, resolving technical issues, or organizing and leading our Solution Analysis Community of Excellence (CoE), I’m committed to helping my team and the organization succeed. Looking ahead to the future, I’m excited to continue growing… with the vision of stepping further into management or consulting roles in the Finance or Healthcare sectors.
