About Trevisan Marcuzzi

For the past decade I’ve been working at the City of Mississauga in the Traffic Signals & Street Lighting section where I have attended to daily street lighting infrastructure. Some of my responsibilities include: coordinating with our maintenance contractors, approving variety of work that requires tending and liaising with city departments, utility contractors, and consultants concerning street lighting related items. I review plans that have been submitted for new development as well as infrastructure changes. This is accomplished by using programs such as AGI32 and Micro Station. Also on a daily basis I provide staff, contractors, council and residents information regarding concerns, requests, updates and support. In collaboration with others the LED conversion installation and database process was developed. At this point I was able to initiate and execute the steps for the LED installation program for the installing contractors and staff. My thorough knowledge of street lighting monitoring and control system has helped in our service levels when trying to trouble shoot issues and prioritise. My experience at the Pepsi Bottling Group has further prepared me with creating and managing a budget along with contracts and forecasting. I am currently in process of getting my OACETT designation. What I find most rewarding in my current position is that I have had the opportunity to be part of an energy saving initiative that involves innovative technology of LED street lights and adaptive controls. I am very proud that I have been able to contribute to this groundbreaking project.
