I have been in the construction industry for nearly 17 years, along with the majority of my experience in residential construction, but have experience in commercial and industrial industries as well. Over the past 14 years I have been focused mostly on the residential industry and have had my hands in almost units per year, from single Family homes, all the way up through 6 Storey Wood Apartments. I study plans, investigate, model, and value engineer my way toward delivering a finished and framed product. I excel at finding the problems long before they happen on site, including discrepancies in architectural drawings and structural drawings, to working with floor and roof engineers, as well as window providers and other trades involved in the framing process. Through careful consideration of each trade I can deliver the best product possible, saving time and money. I do the majority of my day to day work in Sketchup. It is my preferred tool for modelling as I have built a series of dynamic tools and components in sketchup that allow me to model a building quickly and efficiently. It took logic functions, ingenuity, and a bit of elbow grease to create a stable drafting department that Framerz Inc. can rely upon. If the process can be improved upon, I look for it, problem solve it out, and then apply it. I am always looking to grow beyond limitations, software based, systems based, or otherwise. I am Hard Working, Loyal, Efficient, able to learn and grow, accountable, and honest. I pride myself of integrity of character and integrity in my work. I have learned through experience that there are managers, and their are leaders. Managers manage the status quo. A leader is one who extracts skills and abilities from those they lead, to become better and to become leaders themselves. I am Motivated by Family, with a loving Wife, Son and Daughter. I have interests in Hockey, movies, and time with the family. As a hobby/ side business I create custom wood furniture as well.
